Auditing

The results of internal quality audits are an integral part of evaluating the effectiveness of a QM system. Objective benchmarking at a number of production sites allows all the strengths and weaknesses to be shown up in a transparent way. That enables management to utilise positive synergy effects.

The decision to appoint an external service-provider to carry out internal auditing is based on the realisation that as against the company’s own in‑house auditors, an external auditor can proceed in a neutral and objective manner.

Audits can be carried out according to the procedures for supplier audits, internal audits or certification audits. They are based on the description standards and/or other established and agreed requirements, such as:
